Metaphors are used as disguise for the truths. It turns blunt confessions to therapeutic consultation ;it softens corruptions to an accidentally misjudgment. The society becomes delegate when death is describes as "sleeping eternally", or thunder storms are portrayed as a "child's play between the clouds". The World becomes a metaphor, a metaphor of the truth.

Goodbye
A fresh jug of juice is delightful. The sweetening taste from the fruit itself and the added sugar makes the taste buds experience the presence of the sugar cane fairy. Every other drinks become dull and incomparable to this juice; it'll be hard to give it up. However, when the expiry date strikes, and sweet becomes bitter, you know it's time-it's time to throw that once delightful jug of juice into the garbage can.
I'll miss you peach juice.
I'll miss you peach juice.

?
Society strives on identity. Signs of various culture, religion, race, and sexual genders are flashing everywhere around our environment. Every moment on TV, we are reminded to be true to ourselves and be fearless when it comes to finding who you really are. Numerous advertisements encourages this generation to stop identity theft and be unique. Groups become individuals, Unions become separation. Could this be the birth of division?

Boston wins?
After the Vancouver Canucks win the notorious Stanley Cup, the city itself will erupt in cheers and laughter. Formality wouldn't matter-strangers would hug and enemies would mend their differences. For a moment, the Canada Post Union workers will forget about their resent towards their wages and compensations. Air Canada employees will forget about their neglected work space and congratulate passengers for Canucks' great success.
Debts, study-stress, PMS, quarrels, neglects, etc will be forgotten just for a moment; a moment when dreams still come true.
However, what will happen if....

I choose you, Pikachu.
Forgetting bed memories makes my ending full of happy endings. I guess selective memory isn't so bad after all when you only remember what you want to remember.

1812 Overture
As I was sitting at my brother's year end concert in the nostalgic court yard, I saw something I have never seen before. And it made me realize how quickly things have changed, and how fast we have all grown. Five years of daily band practices and annual band trips may seem like a joke when you get credits for simply playing a note. But on the last day of those five years, you realize that the one note you play everyday eventually becomes a song; a song you've composed with all the members, and it was worth more than a credit.

The End of the World
"Cloudy with a high chance of thunder storm. Advised to be indoors to prevent shock, death, or excessive exposure to acid rain." This was the big head line on the Weather Gadget on my desk top. The cloud icon made it feel like today would be a repetition of Noah's Arch, the thunder bolts reminded me of Zeus' secret weapon. I was advised to stay indoors and seek shelter in order to survive natural disasters. However, as I am typing this post, I see animals on land instead of inside the arch, and Zeus sipping tea with the Sun.
I even had my video camera set up to see this catastrophic day.
